How to Remove White marks on Glass Stovetop

by Sarah T

I recently moved out of a rental property and had the unit professionally cleaned. The agent has flagged the issue with the stovetop in the images here/shown.

Is there anything I can do to lessen or remove these white marks?

Thanks!

Removing White Marks on Glass Stovetop
by: Anonymous

A discolored glass-top stove can often be returned to its pristine condition with a good cleaning, using a tough but gentle cleaner such as white vinegar. The acidity removes surface grease without damaging the cooktop.

To use, fill a spray bottle with one part white vinegar to two parts water. Spray the solution on your glass cooktop; let sit for up to 10 minutes; and wipe. Rinse well and buff dry with a clean cloth.

The ceramic-glass surface is vulnerable to scratches, so avoid using abrasive products or sponges to clean.
